Band 5 – $69,659.74 per annum plus superannuation


An opportunity exists in the Community Safety Department of Frankston City Council as a Compliance Officer.

Your main responsibilities will include:  

  • To educate the community and promote responsible pet ownership whilst enforcing relevant legislation, regulations and Local laws
  • Respond to enquiries, complaints, appeals and general correspondence from internal and external stakeholders within Council timelines and standard
  • Undertake the collection of lost/stray animals within Councils timelines and standards

Demonstrated experience and having proven experience in a regulatory, enforcement or a similar role are essential for this position and experience in the handling of Domestic Animals is highly desirable.

Suitably qualified, your ability to work within a team environment, complete tasks within the specified timeframes, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, will ensure your success in this exciting position. 

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Driver Licence & Working with Children Check. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration, undertake a pre-employment functional capacity examination and undertake a National Police Record Check.
