An exciting opportunity exists in our Community Strengthening Department for an experienced Recreation Facilities Planner to assist with the planning and delivery of major recreation and community infrastructure.

The Role

The role will assist with the planning and delivery of major recreation and community infrastructure developments across Frankston City. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, the Recreation Facilities Planner will support multiple project and contract management functions, ensuring the timely delivery of capital works, events and initiatives.

The role will also support the broader recreation team with the development of recreational projects, strategies and policies, allowing for optimal usage of facilities for community health and wellbeing.

About You

To be successful in the role, the incumbent will have demonstrated strategic, business and project management experience, with exceptional relationship building expertise. You will bring creativity and enthusiasm to this exciting role, displaying a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and be passionate to deliver high quality outcomes.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with project management principles and procedures. You will also be required to demonstrate experience in strategic planning, policy development and stakeholder management.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualifications in leisure/recreation, project management or relevant field.
