Coordinator Applications Management

Permanent Full Time

Band 8 $112,729 per annum plus superannuation 

An exciting opportunity exists in our Business Information & Technology department to lead the management of applications and database services across Frankston City Council.

About the role

As the Coordinator Applications Management you will be responsible for leading the Applications Management team whilst focusing on:

  • The Frankston City Council application and database services, staff and projects to provide an effective, robust and reliable IT systems environment for all Council employees.
  • Leadership in identifying problems and recommending improvements to the applications and data architectures to the Manager Business Information Technology, and to assist in the development and implementation of IT strategies.
  • Advice and leadership on the design, implementation and establishment of a robust Business Intelligence platform for Council to meet reporting and analytics requirements of the organisation.

About you

  • Extensive knowledge of the provision and support of enterprise level ICT services for a large and diverse organisation. Such knowledge would include networks, compute, storage, virtualisation, applications, cloud and security.
  • Decisive and informed decision making when faced with technical outages that prevent the business from operating as normal or when implementing large technical solutions.
  • Ability to determine, set and lead the future short and long term direction of Councils ICT strategy.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the implementation of major hardware and software platforms.
  • Sound understanding of the economic, environmental, social and political issues relating to the organisation and how they apply to information technology.
  • Strong leadership experience with a focus on business innovation and change.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders.
