What we are looking for?

Council is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual who will be responsible for leading a large group of teams that undertake maintenance works on Council’s roads, drainage and associated infrastructure assets. The position is responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and direction to a team of 60 employees.
  • Promoting and maintaining a safety first culture in all that you do.
  • Providing operational input into the development of strategies, policies and procedures for the design, delivery and management of Council’s infrastructure assets.
  • Contract management for civil and maintenance deliverables.

About you

  • You are a self-starter who enjoys leading, coaching and developing your team.
  • You have a proven ability to work to tight timelines and prioritise competing workloads.
  • Experience with leading a large and diverse team in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • You are passionate about continuous improvement and seek to find better ways to do things.

An attractive salary package of up to $150,000 is on offer for the right applicant, dependant on skills and experience. Suitable applicants with non-government experience are encouraged to apply. You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Drivers Licence. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
