Band 8A - $112,729 per annum plus superannuation

What we are looking for?

Council is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual who will lead the development and implementation of Councils Community Engagement policy & strategic framework. You will be responsible for the implementation of systems and tools that support meaningful, resilient and interactive Community Engagement practices in line with the Local Government Act. The position will be required to:

  • Lead the development of Council Community Engagement policy and strategic framework.
  • Set up practices to undertake deliberative Community Engagement including setting up a functional Community voice panel.
  • Lead the ongoing collection and analysis of Community related data, information and trends to inform policy, planning and decision making across Council.
  • Support the cultivation of a positive engagement culture that supports Councils objectives and vision
  • Work closely with Departments to build high impact relationship that ensure the delivery of short and long-term Community engagement outcomes for Council.

About you

  • You are a self-starter who enjoys leading positive change.
  • You are passionate about implementing effective and engaging Community Engagement practices across a diverse community.
  • You will have proven experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating complex Community engagement in a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • You are motivated to continuously improve and seek to find better ways to do things.
