About the role


Council is looking for a Coordinator Community Programs within the Community Strengthening Department to lead a driven team while also working to strengthen civic participation and build connected, strong and resilient communities. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading Social and Community Planning development, engagement and implementation projects
  • Preparing funding submissions, report correspondence and project action plans to support high value strategic projects
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and community groups to encourage participation in projects and local activities 


About you 

  • Demonstrated capacity to influence, innovate and build collaborative partnerships to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff whilst creating an inspiring team work environment 
  • Experience in implementing a range of community development/engagement methodologies and using this information to input projects, plans, and other activities.
