Senior Open Space Planner 

Temporary until 31st of March, 2023

Band 7 - $97,222.36 + super

What we are looking for?

 

Council is looking for a Senior Open Space Planner within the Policy, Planning and Environment Strategy Department to manage the planning, design and delivery of projects and concepts for the Frankston’s Open Space network.

 

This role will drive Frankston toward a future open space network that sustains community health, happiness and environment giving way to a more equitable, liveable and sustainable city.

 

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Preparing and project managing open space planning policies, masterplans, concepts and strategies
  • Identifying any issues and providing advice on the implementation of the Frankston Open Space Strategy
  • Coordinating and liaising with government agencies, developers and the community as needed on open space related matters.
  • Assisting the Coordinator Urban Design Policy and Planning in leading a multi-disciplinary team.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Open Space / Landscape / Urban/ Environment or Recreation Planning, Landscape Architecture or allied discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of open space strategies, masterplans, open space planning policy and strategic plans.
  • Successful track record in coordinating complex projects and influencing positive Open Space outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and prepare work plans including community engagement.
