Band 5A $72,097.83 plus super

What we are looking for?

 

Council is looking for a L2P Project Officer within the Community Strengthening department who will be responsible for developing and implementing the “L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program” for learners under 21 years of age within the Frankston Municipality. The goal of this program is to explore ways to create opportunities and overcome any potential barriers for young people gaining their driver’s license.

 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Working closely with young people, their guardian’s/carers, volunteer mentors, youth organisations and sponsors, to coordinate TAC L2P Program across the municipality.
  • Recruitment and training of TAC L2P volunteer mentors to ensure appropriate fit with the program. Matching mentors to young learner drivers to ensure a positive learning experience.
  • Completing progress reports and reporting annually to The Department of Transport.
  • Administering the budget to managing expenses within budget allocation.
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping, case noting and administration for the program.

 

About you 

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in Youth work, Community Development, Community Services or social work environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, including volunteers and at risk young people.
  • Experienced project management, program coordination and problem solving skills
  • Skills in implementing community development strategies to meet required needs.
