Compliance Officer

Permanent Part Time - 22.8 hours per week

Band 5 - $72,097.83 + superannuation (pro-rata)

What we are looking for?

An opportunity exists for a Compliance Officer to join the Community Safety Department team at Frankston City Council.

Your main responsibilities will include:  

  • Educating the community about responsible pet ownership aligned with relevant legislation, regulations and Local laws.
  • Providing professional advice and support on a range of enforcement and compliance issues
  • Responding to enquiries, complaints, appeals and general correspondence from internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that lost/stray animals are collected within Councils timelines and standards
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed daily notes, reports, briefs of evidence and any other associated correspondence

About you

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience with the application of legislation, regulations and local laws. You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to prepare documentation and briefs of evidence for prosecution
  • Ability to work within a team environment and to complete tasks within the specified timeframes 

Experience in the handling of Domestic Animals is highly desirable.
