 People and Culture Business Partner

Temporary Full Time - April 2021 to November 2021

Band 6 $83,840 per annum plus superannuation

The People Services team sits within the People & Culture department encompassing People Services, Payroll, Health and Safety and Learning and Development. 

The role

An exciting opportunity is available to join an innovative, forward thinking People and Culture team.

Partnering with various business units across Council, you will provide specialist advice and support to management and staff regarding employee matters, performance management, organisational change and enterprise agreement / award interpretation.

You will also support the business through the recruitment process by developing position descriptions, recruitment strategies and participating in interviews.

We are also in the early stages of implementing a new e-recruit system (PageUp) which will see you actively involved in the development, implementation and roll out of training.

About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly experienced HR professional. As an internal consultant, you will have the capacity to influence outcomes and develop positive client relationships. Along with your ability to think laterally and solve complex problems, you will be well organised and can prioritise a range of competing demands.

We are looking for someone who will proactively support leaders to develop solutions and drive continuous improvement.  You will also thrive in a complex, ever changing, busy environment.

You will have a relevant qualification in human resources along with experience as human resources practitioner. Demonstrated ER/IR experience, particularly in the area of performance management is essential to your success in this role.
