What we are looking for?


Council are seeking 3 Jobs Advocates within the Family Health Support Services Department who will contribute to the Victorian Government’s enhanced Jobs Victoria employment support program. Funded through Jobs Victoria you will play an important face-to-face navigation role.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Help people navigate employment, training and community services by proactively connecting with people face to face where they are, in their local communities and streamline their service experience.
  • Connect with job seekers who may need assistance to prepare for or secure suitable and sustainable employment and/or ensure they are aware of the supports available.
  • Identify service delivery gaps for job seekers and proactively seek ways to improve service delivery.

 

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Community Engagement and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable residents with complex needs in the community.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the employment, education and/or community services
