Senior Building Support Officer

Part Time (25 hrs per week), Temporary for a 2 year period

Band 5, $72,097- $82,815 (pro rata) plus superannuation

What we are looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Building Services Officer to join our Building Services team who will be responsible for supporting the general operations of the Building Services function and to provide accurate technical information in accordance with the Building Act and Regulations. Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the Coordinator Building Services with the assessment and issuing of report and consents
  • Conducting proactive audits of enforcements to ensure time constraints are being met and accurate records are being kept
  • Preparing relevant correspondence and documentation as required by the Coordinator Building Services

About you

  • Relevant qualifications in Building, business or lesser formal qualification with relevant experience and skills in a similar role.  Advance Diploma in Building Surveying will be well regarded
  • Extensive experience within local government building department or similar
  • Well-developed written skills in preparing reports on building matters
